- Mid 1800: Henry Wiggin & Company formed
- 1929: The Wiggin Companies became part of the International Nickel Company
- 1941-1971: Pfeil development of Nimonic alloys at Inco Alloys Wiggin Facility
- 1962: H. Eiselstein development of Ni3Nb leads to new alloys such as Inconel 718 (11)
- 1998: SMC acquired Inco Alloys International
- 2006: SMC became a wholly owned subsidiary of Precision Castparts Corporation

- 1983: First approved to conduct external testing by NAMAS
- 1983: First UKAS materials testing Approval
- 2000: Turbomeca Approval
- 2001: RR, General Electric, & Pratt & Whitney Approval
- 2001: First UKAS Calibration Approval
- 2002: First European Test House to gain full NADCAP approval
- 2002: Snecma Approval
- 2004: ITP Approval
- 2008: MTU Approval
- 2009: NADCAP, UKAS & RR for Crack Propagation
